Hyderabad: Municipal
Administration Minister K. T. Rama Rao on Saturday for the first time drawn the
extended route to the Metro Rail Hyderabad.
He told the Legislative Council
here on Saturday that the subway train in its second phase of 83 km, stretching
from Miyapur to Patancheru, Nagole to LB Nagar, LB Nagar Hayatnagar, Tarnaka to
ECIL and Raidurg to Shamshabad.
The first phase of Metro Rail
ends in Miyapur, Nagole, LB Nagar and Raidurg. Tarnaka is in line
Miyapur-Nagole. Mr. Rama Rao did not specify a timetable for the project.
He also did not mention the
subway train that extends sideways and Sainikpuri Alwal-Bolarum of the city,
where people have asked for the service.
The minister was responding to
questions raised by M. S. Prabhakar Rao MLC (TRS) and Komatireddy Rajagopal
Reddy (Congress). Mr. Prabhakar Rao wanted the government to connect all
villages within the outer ring road through the subway train.
No metro link to the ORR villages
now
In response to TRS MLC MS
Prabhakar Rao, Minister KT Rama Rao said in the Legislative Council:
"There are more than 180 villages within the TRG While we cannot provide
Metro rail link to all peoples, we will follow the model of Hyderabad. Provide
a shuttle service to select locations and ensure greater coverage of public
transport. I cannot set a deadline for these projects. "
In response to Mr K. Rajagopal
Reddy requesting that the MMTS extended to Bhongir in priority, Mr. Rama Rao
said the service will be extended to the temple town of Yadadri in Nalgonda
district passing through Bhongir.
In a record 10 days we send the
detailed project report for the Center and gave permission. Not only Bhongir,
MMTS will rise to Yadadri "he said.
