NEW DELHI: As Delhi gives the background to its rationing scheme even-odd car, the heat in the streets is more than just because of the hot sun of April.

For the second time this year, a war of words has broken between the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal (AAP) opposition on the formula that allows cars odd and even numbers on alternate days - in an attempt to reduce pollution and congestion. A call to an automatic stop Monday has only aggravated the argument.

Vijay Goel, BJP chief in Delhi, has called the scheme, which flings Mr. Kejriwal to the list of the 50 greatest leaders in the world, a simple photo shoot and a publicity stunt Fortune magazine.

"Arvind Kejriwal just wants to spend on tax money from people for propaganda and he is not interested in reducing pollution and traffic," said Mr. Goel today.

Lashing out against the even-odd posters printed in Delhi showing a smiling Mr. Kejriwal urging people to follow the rules, the BJP leader said on Monday it would violate them only as a protest.

However, the Chief Minister of Delhi, ask in social networks, had a scathing response ready. Accusing a union bound by the BJP to organize a strike that threatens dozens of auto rickshaw and taxis from the streets on Monday, Mr. Kejriwal released a barrage of newspaper clippings and tweets that worked the program as a success.

While the streets had remained virtually empty yesterday - the first day of the 15-day scheme - which many attributed to a holiday for Sri Ram Navami. About 1,300 people were caught violating the rule and fined.

Weather experts also said that the benefits of fewer vehicles on the roads failed to alleviate pollution as the winds blew contaminated in the city from the northwest.

At least 11 people were killed and 20 were seriously injured when a high voltage cable hit by bullets fell on the protesters as police fired in the air to disperse Pangeree in upper Assam on Monday.

Police said the incident took place when a large number of demonstrators armed with machetes and sticks threw stones at the police station Pangeree in the district of Tinsukia and tried to MUCHE demanding that those detained in connection with the murder of two people in the area three days ago will be delivered to them, police said.

They threw stones and broke the windows of the police station.

"A group of people from neighboring villages laid siege to the police station on Monday morning. The mob was demanding the police to deliver the five charged with murder, who were arrested in a case of recent murder," said a police officer.

Police then fired into the air to control the mob and bullets hit a high-voltage electric wire causing it to fall over on demonstrators.

Nine of them died on the spot and one died in Tinsukia Civil Hospital. Another person died on the way to Assam Medical College Hospital in neighboring Dibrugarh district.

District senior civil and police officials, along with the central paramilitary forces and police reinforcements have rushed to the spot.

Officials meetings with protesters hold to neutralize the situation, police said.

Three days ago a man, his son and daughter-in-law were kidnapped by unidentified persons in the Pangeree area and while the child escaped from his captors, the bodies of the other two were later recovered, police said.

The police had arrested five persons in this connection and the mob had demanded to be handed over to them for punishment.

Meanwhile, Assam BJP president Sarbananda Sonowal expressed concern about the incident and demanded a high-level research.

Sonowal, the union of youth affairs and sports minister, also announced a Rs.1 lakh compensation to the families of each of the dead and Rs.25,000 rupees for the injured.

It is expected that the movement of cargo to reduce the trade gap between India, Bangladesh

Two years after India and Bangladesh agreed freight movement across the Bay of Bengal, the first ship sailed from Krishnapatnam on the east coast of India to the busiest port in Bangladesh, Chittagong on Tuesday.

This paves the way for enhanced bilateral trade and reduces the cost of freight and exim time required. In addition to improving connectivity, this will also provide speeds competitive freight. With this, Krishnapatnam port has crossed another milestone as the first vessel MV Frauke time carrying two mobile harbor cranes in April 2008. Frauke was a ship 160 meters long, leading to the cranes have a lifting capacity of 100 tons .

Over the years, seaborne trade has developed significantly. Under a bilateral protocol on Inland Water Transit and Trade (PIWTT) inland waterway vessels can be operated on routes between the river protocol after seven ports. These are Kolkata, Haldia, Paradip, Vishakhapatnam, Kakinada, Krishnapatnam and Chennai on the east coast of India and Chittagong, Mongla, Khulna, Paira, Narayanganj, Pangaon and Ashuganj.

This protocol has also facilitated the movement of EXIM trade and cargo bound for the northeastern states of India.

Exporters and importers from both sides have been facing undue increase in transport costs as current connectivity with Bangladesh is through the ports of Colombo and Singapore.

Md. Sirajur Rahman, CEO of Neepa Paribahan, the company that manages the first ship of the coast from Krishnapatnam to Chittagong, said, "It would now take only five days for goods from India to reach Bangladesh. This is no theft and wastage compared to 14 day road ".

With most ports being Bangladesh river, river water glasses are used to move the load, as these smaller boats require less depth. The amount of cargo between the two countries makes it unfeasible for mother ships to call at ports directly.
