King's College Hospital, one of the largest university hospitals in the UK, soon set up a 1,000-bed medical facility world class in Amaravati.
The main institutions like AIIMS and Indo-UK Institute of Health have already shown interest in building hospitals in the capital, he said.
London: King's College Hospital, one of the largest
university hospitals in the UK, soon establish a world-class medical center
1,000 beds in the new capital of Andhra Pradesh Amaravati, Chandrababu Naidu
Chief Minister announced.
"The Kings College Hospital has agreed to construct a
hospital of 1,000 beds in Amaravati immediately and make their headquarters, as
the intention to establish 11 hospitals in different parts of India,"
Naidu said here.
"They will make the necessary for hospitals in India
same team. It's not just what they want to establish a world-class hospital,
but also promote health tourism in India. The foundation stone for the hospital
in capital region Amaravati may be in the first week of June, "he said.
Kings College Hospital is one of the largest and busiest
teaching hospitals in the UK with the specialist in liver disease and
transplantation work, neurosciences, oncology and hemato-fetal medicine.
A 'Health City' of 6387.67 acres is planned in the capital
and the land has been reserved throughout the city for health infrastructure.
At the centers of academia and medical research they are planned in the
capital, which provides access to labor.
"Major institutions like AIIMS and Indo-British
Institute of Health have already shown interest in building hospitals in the
capital," he said.
The Minister said his government has established an office
in London Amaravati. "Vijay Goel, a partner Singania & Co, a leading
law firm here, has offered to set up the office for free," he said.
The office will coordinate with investors and help them to
invest in Amaravati. Earlier in the day, Naidu visited Amaravati special
gallery in the British Museum.
The Minister also met separately with non-resident Telugus
in the UK and offered to take peoples of Andhra Pradesh for rapid development.
Naidu said it plans to establish a museum in Amaravati and get the experience
of the British Museum.
The Minister said his government would also establish Balaji
temples worldwide.
"We want to establish Balaji temples throughout the
world and promote dance Kuchupudi as part of religious and cultural
promotion," Naidu said.
Said in a recent global investment conference held in
Visakhapatnam, a total of "Rs.4.67 lakh crore investment" has been
promised by global investors.
"I'm sure that a reasonable amount will come,"
said the Chief Minister.
