An Italian pilot to fly a flight to Japan have threatened to crash the plane with 200 passengers on board, if his wife left him, according to a report in the media today.
The pilot was not identified,
about 40 years, sent a message to his wife saying he was going to kill himself
along with 200 passengers on your flight Rome-Japan after apparently threatened
to leave, the Times reported on the incident that occurred in January last

The police managed to arrest the
driver at the airport of Fiumicino in Rome to take flight controls just minutes
before takeoff. His wife had alerted authorities after he sent a text message
threatening to commit suicide and kill everyone aboard long-haul flight from

passengers were not told about the incident that has remained secret until now,
according to the report.
The Italian pilot sent the text
message after his wife announced that he was leaving, and referred to the

The pilot had been previously
reported to the police by his wife of ill-treatment. He remains suspended and
is under psychiatric evaluation, according to reports.
This incident occurred two months
before German rider Andreas Lubitz deliberately crashed his Germanwings A320 in
the Alps, killing 149 people.
