The first house was ready double room in Erravalli, approved
by the Chief Minister, Jagadevpur mandal in Medak district.
The house has been built on 560 square feet at a cost of Rs.
5.04 lakh. Work on the construction of the house began last November and took
over 100 days to complete, as everything had to start from scratch, including
the establishment of the plant manufacturing cement bricks outside the village.
According to officials, the ground inside the house and
other minor works would be completed in a day or two.
More than 800 workers, including experts, Bihar, West
Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Ongloe in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been
roped in to achieve the objective.
District officials intend to complete construction of 285
houses and 200 houses in Erravalli Narsannapet April 30 so they can be
delivered to the beneficiaries.
To achieve the goal, they have to finish building a house
every three days.
"We are trying to reach the finish line without
deviation," Ramchandram, assistant engineer involved in the project said.
