Apple iPhoneSE Features A9 chipset, 12MP rear camera
After a not so great launch
expensive new 5s Apple iPhone look-a-like, the iPhone will arrive in India on
April 8 The news comes from one of the dealers who go by the name of Beetel
Teletech Limited. The distributor, who is a part of a global distribution
company Brightstar said it would begin selling Apple's iPhone SE at 3500
outlets in India from April 8.
In India, Apple announced that
the official price of retail would be Rs 39,000 for the 16GB variant. Come in
four colors such as Silver, Gold, Pink Gold and Space Grey.
According to Apple, which had
sold nearly 1 million iPhones 4 inches in 2015 and was still a popular form
factor for a lot of people around the world, especially in china.
While the price of the iPhone
actually seems lower than usual (for Apple) most manufacturers will not be too
worried. In fact many would be happier to see Apple push for mid-range segment,
which means that now there will be a lot of competition and innovation that
takes place there as well.
Anshul Gupta, research director
at Gartner commented. "SE Apple iPhone will help you expand your market
segment Users will be able to buy a phone with the latest features, which is
very different from buying from an earlier version to a lower price. I think
this will appeal to more people to buy a phone from Apple that otherwise could
not afford their flagship phone. this will make the market more competitive in
that price point as Apple is preparing to take more action. ".
Things may be looking up for
Apple, although the iPhone looks a lot like the iPhone 5, a design that is more
than three years old now. Even then, Apple seems to have packed in a lot of
energy with an updated camera and the latest chipset (A9) to do the smart phone
a pleasure to use, especially for those who have been longing for a smaller
iPhone.
The new iPhone comes with a
4-inch Retina display (1136 x 640 pixels) representing a pixel density of
326ppi. Inside, Apple has put on a A9 chip with 64-bit architecture and has a
co-processor embedded motion M9. In the camera department, the iPhone gets the
best of Apple - a 12MP iSight rear camera with an f / 2.2 aperture along with
support for live photos. On the front, a camera of 1.2 MP is obtained with a
capacity of f / 2.4 aperture and high definition recording.
