Hyderabad: The TS government sanctioned Rs 100 cr to Brahmin welfare in the Budget for 2016-17.
CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been stating on every important occasion that the government would take proactive measures for the welfare of Brahmins. He has already announced the construction of "Brahmin Bhavan 'in Hyderabad.

In the GHMC elections, Brahmin associations supported the TRS and participated in the poll campaign in divisions where the community has considerable presence.

The CM has shown a positive attitude towards the community forward caste, of which some members are economically poor.

During the Maha Chandi Yagam, the CM had announced plans for the community welfare, as well as inclusion in 2BHK housing plan.
