Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy decorated as Goverdana Giridhari in Yadagirigutta on Tuesday the sixth day of Brahmotsavams of 11 days.
Following tradition, Telangana
chief minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao and his wife Shoba presented " Silk
Vastrams" to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Yadagirigutta here on
Thursday.
The presiding deity Kalanyam will
take place at night, in which the governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and his wife
Vimala Narasimhan take part. The Chief Minister flew from Begumpet
Yadagirigutta in a helicopter Thursday morning.
He proceeded to the chapel hill
road from Vadaigudem heliport. On arrival the Chief Minister and his wife had
"Silk Vastrams" and participated in special pujas made on arrival.
Later, Mr. Rao held a meeting
with officials of the temple Yadagirigutta Development Authority (YTDA),
Yadagirigutta the administration of the temple, and the district administration
to discuss the progress of the refurbishment work on the temple in progress.
He also called on the authorities
to speed up the work. The Chief Minister flew back to Hyderabad by 2 p.m. to
attend the current session of the Assembly budget. The YTDA, vice-chariman G.
Kishan Rao, principal secretaries of various departments, District Collector
P.Satyanarayana Reddy, executive temple N.Geetha and others attended the
meeting.
