Assembly adopted a resolution requesting the Centre on Wednesday promptly
implement all the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014,
including Special Category subsidy from state to state.
Chandrababu Naidu Chief Minister
N moved the resolution under Rule 77 in the Assembly list of 17 major issues
that the state wants the center to address immediately.
Telugu Desam the apparently

special category status Andhra Pradesh and implementation of other provisions
of the AP Reorganization Act.
"While thanking the Union
Government's efforts in the resolution of certain issues relating to the reorganization
of the state, the house unanimously resolved to request the Government of India
to quickly implement all the provisions contained in the AP Law Reorganization
2014 and guarantees made in the Parliament and to continue to hold the state
until the equal par with neighboring states is reached, "says the
resolution.
The government also sought AP
implementation of Section 8, which relates to issues of law and maintain order
in Hyderabad the joint capital under the direct supervision of the governor,
which is also common for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Some of the main issues that the
government of Andhra Pradesh wants the center direction are releasing balance
donation to close the resource gap; completion of Polavaram irrigation project,
which has been declared a national project, in 2018; fiscal measures such as
tax incentives to promote industrialization and economic growth and providing
special financial support for the new capital.
Construction of Railway Zone in
Visakhapatnam; increase the number of seats in the Legislative Assembly
175-225; amend the Presidential Order on local status with regard to education
and employment; establishment of the steel plant in Kadapa, Dugarajapatna port
and modify the AP Reorganization Act to correct anomalies in tax matters, are
some of the other issues highlighted by the Assembly.
On Tuesday, Finance Minister Arun
Jaitley had said in Rajya Sabha that all commitments to Andhra Pradesh in
letter and spirit would be fulfilled.
"Centre is fully committed
to helping the newly created state after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
There are several commitments, which are involved in the Law on AP Reorganisation.
Center will fulfill each of these commitments in letter and spirit," the
Minister Treasury said.
Referring to the revenue
shortfall, Jaitley said, "Every paisa or rupee for this revenue shortfall
is being paid to Andhra Pradesh. We will continue to pay that."
He said the institutions have to
be accustomed in Andhra Pradesh. Foundation stones have been established, funds
have been sanctioned and in some cases, work is also at an advanced stage, he
said.
In the new capital, Jaitley said
the accompaniment is authoritative ample "progress" towards. The
funds have been sanctioned and would be released towards it, he added.
Keeping the limitations of the
Commission 14 Finance and resources, "Whatever the commitment has been
made to be honored," said the Minister.
