Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu called Union Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss issues related to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014 in New Delhi.

New Delhi: Centre is prepared to amend the Law of Reorganization Pradesh Andhra to increase the number of seats in the Assembly of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, as requested by both the Telugu states, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Venkaiah Naidu said on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters after meeting with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here, Naidu Said, "Union Ministry said now write to the Law Ministry which in turn obtain the opinion of the Attorney General of India. The central government is prepared to amend the AP Reorganization Act after receiving the opinion of the Attorney General. I am sure that the people of Both Telugu states soon hear the good news. "

Naidu said both states have written to the Search Center Implementation of section 26 of the Reorganization Act of AP, which Calls For improving number of seats in the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh from 175 to 225, and Telangana of 119-153.

He said that after extensive discussions with senior officials of various ministries, "it was decided that the AP Reorganization Act may conveniently be modified in order to increase the number of seats in the assembly, both Telugu States."
