New Delhi: The International
Cricket Council on Monday ruled out any change in the venues for the World
Twenty20 tournament, which starts with two preliminary games in Nagpur on
Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, the chief
executive of the ICC, Dave Richardson said there was uncertainty about the game
between India and Pakistan in Dharamsala despite some local protests, and also
ruled out shifting parties Delhi due to the final authorizations received by
the state association.
"There are challenges in
relation to those two places. But we are dealing with these problems,"
Richardson said. "The places were decided a year ago and all arrangements
are in place to organize the games in those two places. These challenges have
reasons that are no fault of the BCCI or the ICC.
But the fact is we're dealing
with them and are confident that the parties will proceed to those two places.
