China-India Yoga College is attracting thousands of followers

attracting thousands of followers to their free classes in ancient physical and
spiritual practice in India.
Yoga college in the country first opened last November in
Kunming and is based in the Yunnan
Minzu (Nationalities) University.
Lu Fang, Deputy Director of the university, said more than
five dozen full-time students have completed yoga sessions and about 3,000
people took part in free yoga sessions offered by the school. "Several
companies and government offices invited our teachers to teach yoga during
celebrations such as International Women's Day", Mr. Lu told the state
news agency Xinhua today.
Lu said that a growing number of people who wanted to learn
yoga teacher from India. "They not only learn yoga positions, but also
sutras, habits of philosophy, culture and cuisine from tutors in India."
Han Mingxue, who took lessons and became a master of Chinese
yoga in college, said, "I only knew about the Iyengar style, but after
hearing extensive with tutors from India, have come to a much deeper
understanding yoga. "
Velusamy Subbulakshmi, who went to China from
Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in India, has spent five months teaching yoga.
She said it was not difficult to communicate with students the culture of
Chinese yoga.
"The Chinese Taiji (shadowboxing) it has a great
similarity with yoga," he said.
