OnePlus announced on Saturday a
price cut for the smartphone OnePlus X (Review). With immediate effect, the
OnePlus X Onyx Edition will be available through Amazon India at Rs. 14,999. At
the time of filing this report, the OnePlus X Champagne Edition and OnePlus X Limited Ceramic Edition still in retail at Rs. 16,999 and Rs. 22999, respectively.
The OnePlus X was launched in
India in October last year carrying a price tag of Rs. 16,999. The smartphone
was only guest at first, but became available through general sale in February
this year.
The OnePlus OxygenOS X Android
5.1.1 Lollipop based runs, and comes with a 5 inch Full HD (1080x1920 pixels)
AMOLED display, and is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801
SoC along with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. Like the OnePlus 2, which has a hardware Alert
Slider, and the capacitive keys. The smart phone has a metal frame and dual
speakers grilles in the lower panel.
The OnePlus X packs 16GB of
built-in storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The dual-SIM
smartphone has a slot for SIM card dual hybrid with the second usable microSD
card slot. It features a 13 megapixel rear camera with flash and f / 2.2
aperture, a front 8-megapixel camera with an f / 2.4 aperture and a
non-removable 2525mAh battery.
