High Court wanted a guarantee
that they would implement the suggestions of the court to reduce the use of
chemicals to ripen fruits.
Hyderabad: Welcoming the efforts
of the governments of AP and TS, the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday wanted a
guarantee that they would implement the Court's suggestions regarding reducing
the use of chemicals to ripen fruits.
A division bench comprising
Acting Director of Justice Dilip Bhosale and Justice P. B. Naveen Rao was
dealing with a case that is given to suo motu against the rampant use of
calcium carbide and other chemicals in the ripening of fruits .
The amicus curiae said there had
been some progress with regard to the prevention of artificial fruit ripening
by sellers in the market yards. Governments need more time for effective
implementation of programs to check the artificial ripening of fruits, he said.
AP Special Adviser D. Ramesh said
that according to the instructions of the court, the authorities have sought
the cooperation of the media. Two channels had provided assistance for the
purpose. The bank told him to consult the representatives of the media again for
your help.

Adviser said that the authorities had been performing units and give wide
publicity against the consumption of artificially ripened fruits. No HC to

Bhosale and Justice P. B. Naveen Rao.
The bench was hearing an appeal
by the Telangana state government challenging an order of a single judge his
decision to set `50 as rights for each package Bt cotton seeds remained.
Mr. Vaidyanathan said that in
view of the fact that companies like Monsanto and its Indian partners had been
exploiting impoverished farmers, the Centre intends to set a uniform price
sale.
